About

I started learning violin when I was four and a half. I decided to study Music as a VCE subject, then was keen to continue at University. I attended The Conservatory of Music at Melbourne University and graduated with a Bachelor of Music.
It was during University that I decided to start teaching and from there I was hooked. Since then I have been teaching in the Suzuki Method and traditional methods and have experience teaching ages 3-90, and Suzuki Books 1 to 10. I have 20 years of teaching experience which has included working at schools, privately run studios and tutoring and conducting orchestral programs. Now I feel the time has come to open my own studio.
My philosophy is to present a nurturing environment with the aim of excellence in teaching. There is scope to expand beyond the studio walls and reach out into the wider community. I want to be available beyond your lesson time and be available to chat in a relaxed atmosphere with a coffee (or two!).
