Term 2 Starts this Monday

Dear Families,
Term 2 starts this Monday April 13. I hope you've all enjoyed some time off. Autumn Festival was great this year, it was lovely to bump into students who seemed to be enjoying themselves. Here's a great quote which encapsulates how I feel when I teach:

"The soul is healed by being with children"
Fyodor Dostoevsky

Looking forward to seeing you all this week.

Welcome Back

Dear Families,
Welcome back, I hope everyone has had a safe and happy holiday. This year is special to me as it marks the 20th year of violin teaching as well as my 40th year of living! I am now catching up with students that are in university that I've been teaching since they were little kids. Time flies.

Here are some important dates for this 8 WEEK term:

Start Term 1: Monday 2nd February
Last day Term 1: Saturday 28 March
Solo Concert Date: Sunday 22nd February: 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm. Please choose your concert time and let me know
Labor Day Public Holiday: Monday 2nd March, no lessons
Suzuki Association Autumn Festival: 9th-11th April

Please remember to try to arrive 5 minutes prior to your lesson time and unpack quietly. At the end please exit quietly so the next student can commence their lesson.

I encourage everyone to attend group class, it is a crucial part of the Suzuki teaching method and allows students to play in a group context. Group class is held on Friday afternoons from 4:30-5:20pm at the Fordham Avenue Scout Hall. Saturday Group class is currently full as it's held in my studio.

See you all next week, keen and ready to go!

Yours sincerely,
Georgina Mead
